Momentum

As I walk through the woods
My eyes grazing over the foliage
And the sunlight as it makes it's way through the trees 

My mind wanders 

I hear the sounds of an author
Bringing life to their story
And sharing it with me 

My ears absorb 

One step follows the next
As I gain momentum
And make my way through this place 

My feet guide 

I stop to take inventory
Of what is in my head
And in my body 

My stillness resonates 

I ingest the wisdom
In stillness
In things unseen
In forces unknown

And I take another step
Moving along the path
Set before me 

My understanding secure
